Create schedules at work
Hi! I recently started using https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling to create schedules at work. In fact, the app helps a lot, especially when you have a large team like mine. What I liked right away is the ability to automatically schedule shifts based on employee preferences. For example, we have several people who cannot work on weekends, while others, on the contrary, can only work on weekends. Shifton easily takes these restrictions into account, and you can set rules for the app to distribute shifts itself. In automatic mode, this works perfectly, but manual scheduling has its own nuances. In manual mode, you can further customize the schedule to individual needs - for example, if someone is sick or you have an emergency when you urgently need to replace someone. I use a mixed approach: for stable shifts, I do automatic scheduling, and for exceptional cases and special requests of employees, I edit manually. One of the big advantages of schedule generator work is that all changes are immediately displayed in real time, and colleagues can immediately see who is on what shift. We even have a group where each employee can submit a request to change their shift, and if possible, you can make the adjustment directly in the application. Another important point for me was that Shifton allows you to not only plan shifts, but also track working hours, the number of hours worked. This is very convenient for accounting for wages, especially when you do it manually. The program automatically calculates the time worked according to the specified rules, and you do not need to recalculate manually. At the very least, this saves a lot of time.
But if we talk about large employees or large volumes, then Shifton allows you to really save a lot of time. Especially if you need to combine automatic and manual planning. I also liked how the application automatically adjusts schedules taking into account weekends, sick leave, and so on. In real time, you see who is working where, when, which helps to avoid mistakes. So yes, if you have the opportunity to implement such systems, it can really save energy and reduce the number of mistakes, especially in large teams.
